MHR x Panelle: Linking to Power Up Leadership

MHR x Panelle: Linking to Power Up Leadership

March 5, 2025

By:

Panelle Press Team

This Women's History Month, Panelle is excited to partner with MHR, a company that truly understands the power of diverse leadership and the importance of fostering an inclusive workplace.

As a leading HR, payroll, and finance software and services provider, MHR is committed to breaking barriers and creating opportunities for women at every level of business.

Together, Panelle and MHR are working to amplify women’s voices, drive meaningful change, and create an environment where all leaders - present and future - can thrive...

Why did you choose to work with Panelle?

Working in partnership with Panelle gives MHR a unique platform to collaborate with high performing female C-suite execs and gain insight into their opinions, expertise and experiences in the world of business.

The nature of the Panelle Forum encourages and amplifies open and honest debate on the challenges and opportunities for women – for those at the top and those aspiring to become a leader. The programme of events also allows us to forge new alliances, and the partnership aligns with our business objectives among this influential group of leaders.

Why is DEI important to your business?

A successful business is one which has, and respects, a healthy melting pot of skills, attitudes, experience and backgrounds. We want people who are driven, who challenge, who learn, who thrive and enjoy striving for growth and success.

You can’t achieve that with a one-dimensional workforce. Talent comes in many guises and having a diverse workforce will help break down those barriers and create an environment where people can flourish to their full potential.

From a business point of view, DEI in the workplace brings many benefits. Not only is a diverse and inclusive workplace a magnet for top talent; an inclusive workplace also helps build a culture of psychological safety all of which boosts productivity, motivates people to flourish, and creates an environment for growth and change.

How is your company driving representation for women?

MHR is a family-owned, privately held HR, payroll and finance software and services provider. It was started in 1984 by Mr John Mills, and the company’s chairman – Jessica Mills -  is second generation family.

Our C-suite also includes Chief People Officer Jeanette Wheeler who is passionate about encouraging people to achieve their potential. In an industry that has often struggled with female representation, the company focuses on creating a diverse and supportive culture where all employees get the same opportunities.

Recruiting, retaining and developing talent and building an infrastructure that encourages women into the tech workplace is important to MHR which is why it also works closely with schools and universities to encourage more women into STEM roles and inspire them into leadership positions.

How can Panelle help with your DEI goals?

The Panelle events encourage partnerships, and  provide a great development opportunity for some of our female leaders to speak and connect with like-minded individuals for their own personal growth as well as learnings they can take back and use as part of their roles.

As a software and services provider for core business processes, it's important to understand diverse needs within the workplace as well as some of the challenges so that our software can develop to support this.

What will you achieve through this series with Panelle?

It will create an environment for MHR to engage with and support and learn from influential C-suite female executives. It will also help MHR to strengthen our understanding of the pain points and opportunities female executives deal with in their roles to help us innovate with our products and services.
