Why did you choose to work with Panelle? 

Women are underrepresented in the data and tech industry, as well as in the C-suite. Panelle shines a light on encouraging diversity and inclusion and ensuring they have a voice. I really like the way Panelle have built a community and what they represent to empower this community.

How is your company driving representation for women?

It’s no secret that women in tech are underrepresented, and this is particularly true in cybersecurity. Wiz combats this in several ways:

• Showcasing the stories of women in security and the incredible results they’ve driven. A prime example of this is Melody Hildebrant, the Chief Information Security Officer of Fox. We love to share the Fox case study with customers and prospects – not because Melody is a woman, but because she’s achieved incredible things with a small but mighty team that now has an outsized impact on the business and is reducing risk in a truly innovative, effective way. This and other stories of successful women in security are inspiring for other cloud businesses.
• Encouraging future generations of female leaders to work in security. Our viral “Can I be a CISO?” video celebrated International Women’s Day with footage of young girls learning about an exciting new career path from successful female CISOs who were given a chance to answer their questions and talk about what they love in their work.
• Pushing for a diverse workforce. We can always do better here, but we’re proud that our leadership team and our board aren’t all male, and that Wiz has a strong cohort of women within traditionally male-dominated functions, including product and engineering.
