Gong is excited to announce its partnership with Panelle.
As the leading AI platform for revenue teams, Gong is deeply committed to driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the business landscape. This collaboration highlights Gong's dedication to fostering a more inclusive environment that aligns with Panelle’s mission to empower women leaders and changemakers. Through this partnership, Gong and Panelle are set to connect and uplift female revenue leaders, leveraging diverse perspectives to drive business success and innovation...
Why did you choose to work with Panelle?
Gong transforms revenue for organisations by driving business efficiency, revenue growth, and improved decision-making. We see the impact that women have on our own business and are keen to support and engage with female leaders in other organisations. Panelle’s mission to empower women leaders and changemakers fits well with our own DEI goals.
Why is DEI important to your business?
Despite making up nearly half of the global workforce, women represent only 40% of mid-level B2B sales employees, dropping to 31% at the senior level, according to a 2023 survey by Gartner, Inc.
"We have a duty to raise up the women around us."
And yet, women achieve 8% higher quota attainment than men and women-led teams have higher win and quota attainment rates, at 94%, compared to teams led by men, at 91%. As the leading AI platform for revenue teams, we know that hiring more women in sales makes business sense, and we have a duty to raise up the women around us.
How is your company driving representation for women?
In 2020, we took the significant step of tracking, measuring, and reporting how our company is living up to its values. We introduced Belong@Gong as a company priority along with our first annual report: our public pledge to cultivate an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). At the end of FY24, women represented 44% of our global workforce.
Regarding senior leadership, women’s representation in Director+ roles has held strong at 39%. However, we continue to invest in doing better. For example, we’re focusing our recruitment strategies to better support the creation of a diverse workforce. We plan to develop a global comprehensive competency question bank that enables our hiring teams to conduct equitable and consistent interviews rooted in the core competencies required for success in the role.
We are also launching partnerships with organisations dedicated to diversity hiring in our hub cities, broadening our outreach, and ensuring we attract a wide variety of talent.
How can Panelle help with your DEI goals?
Panelle has a strong community of female leaders, and we look forward to partnering with them on this series to make connections with people outside our network. Additionally, we want to build upon the foundations we've laid as a company, and look forward to gaining insights and experiences from other female revenue leaders that we can incorporate into our own DEI strategy at Gong.
What will you achieve through this series with Panelle?
Representation of women in senior-level B2B sales roles remains a meagre 31%. Gong is working with Panelle to build connections with female revenue leaders to share experiences, knowledge and personal development.
