How is your company driving representation for women?  

With our larger vision to have a more gender-balanced workplace, Wipro has been on a continuous journey to reflect and work towards making Wipro a place where women can dream and thrive. In 2021we set ourselves the goal of increasing representation of women at senior leadership levels – since then Wipro has seen a 2.5x increase in the number of women leaders (up from 17.0% in FY23 to 18.7% in FY24).

In 2008 Wipro launched The Women of Wipro (WoW) program. This includes initiatives that support our women colleagues at every stage of their careers to ensure that they can grow professionally.

These include:

Leadership Dialogues: this forum enables regular candid conversations where women leaders share their views with our CEO and the Wipro Executive Board.

Sponsorship Program: this program strengthens talent pipelines and engages senior leaders as sponsors who are mapped to high-potential women leaders as their protégés.

Returning Mothers: Through our WoW Mom program we support, enable, and engage with women employees beginning, or returning from, maternity leave.

#HerCode: A program specially crafted to create a more inclusive and diverse future for women in technology. Capability Building: Flagship programs such as Your Career YourChoice and Women in Leadership help women tackle workplace challenges and stay ahead of the game.

International Women’s Day: Wipro hosts events globally throughout March each year to bring people together, enhance their understanding of equity and articulate actions we can take to #EmbraceEquity

How can Panelle help with your DEI goals?  

Panelle will help with Wipro’s DEI goals as a starting point for monitoring gender diversity of our planned marketing activities so that we can keep a focus on ensuring that we redress the gender balance within the technology space in the UK & Ireland territory.

For example, as well as these two Panelle roundtables, we recently hosted a panel session at the National Cyber Security Show, where we only invited female CISOs to join us on stage before considering inviting others to join us. In the end we hosted Sarah Self, UK CISO for Aviva, in the panel discussion moderated by Laura Barnes, PR/Communications lead for Europe and Americas at Wipro. 

What will you achieve through this series with Panelle? 

· Enhancing our commitment to the gender equity movement.

· Combining the 'Women in Cyber' initiative of Wipro with the core values of Panelle and creating a much bigger value differentiator.

· Enriching the professional network of WoW's senior executives.

· Generating leads and revenue to support our growth objectives.
